Loved it!Accomadations were simple but perfect with hot and cold running water, fan, and nice queen-sized bed.Electrictiy and water never went out on us.Family who ran the hostel were very sweet and helpful.Would definitely stay here again if I returned to Puerto Plata. I really enjoyed my stay at Villa Carolina.It was very nice, clean and homely.It is walking distance to everything including the beautiful quiet beach.It is almost like your own private beach.The people at Villa Carolina are very accommodating and very nice and pleasant.I recommend this hostel to any and every one.It is the best hostel I have stayed. Thank you so much for your hospitality! Even though there was a region-wide power outage during our stay in Puerto Plata, you went above and beyond to make sure we still had electricity. The place was gorgeous, huge, and impeccably clean! And the Cats Steven CD in the beautiful downstairs parlor was a nice tough the fresh breakfast as well. I highly recommend this hostel. The Hostel is close to the beach, bus stations and the downtown.We could tell our belongings were safe when we left them in our room.Great breakfast and friendly, helpful staff.We would certainly go back again if go to the north coast. Jason, from USA ~ 25th Feb 2012
