The hostel has all you can expect from a hostel... convenient location, very very clean, friendly staff, and the most important good areas to share with the other travelers... Great little hostel with a pool in the middle of the city, about a 45min walk along to the seafront to Casco Viejo. Super friendly staff, really easy to meet lots of people and the pool really does make a huge difference! Only thing is that their free breakfast is a bit limited (only pancakes - not exactly the healthy option for every day) but the kitchen is well equipped for self caterers. The two brothers that own the hostel are very cool and great to talk to, they also know a lot about Panama so they are a good resource. The hostel in general is very nice to stay at, I enjoyed my stay there.I definitely recommend this hostel as a great place to stay while in Panama, the people that were here while I stayed were all very friendly and I was able to make friends quickly and go travelling around together. I was in Panama to do some research (and also relax a bit) on a tight budget. Villa Vento Surf really became a second home for me in Panama, both for the days I spent in the city and as a jumping off point to explore the city itself. I met a bunch of really cool fellow travellers and the people who work at the hostel are all pretty awesome. The owner Daniel is a great guy everyone tends to be very sociable and I always had fun, even if I decided just to hang around the hostel on any given night Steven, from USA ~ 2nd Aug 2012
