We made the mistake of thinking, "Oh cool, staying on a boat, that's interesting." Don't make our mistake. The room could not have possibly been more cramped. I'm 6'1 and couldn't fit on the bed without curling up. No space at all in the room. I can't stress that enough. The heat barely worked. Not the best location. It's walking distance to Centraal and the Red Light District, but unless your only interest is being near the prostitutes, there are so many better options in Leidseplein a Elliot, from USA ~ 20th Nov 2011

Nice choice for an affordable stay in Amsterdam and a good experiece to be in a real boat instead of a regular hostel. We've been receptioned by Marcela who was very nice all the time. The boat location is very good, close to the Centraal Station, Dam square, etc... about 10 minutes walkikng by the beautiful Oosterdok. The boat is also very clean and the breakfast is very good compared to the other hostels. Well recommended! George, from Brazil ~ 2nd Oct 2011

This stay will be one of the most memorable of my life. A special thanks to the staff for being so kind and helpful. Additionally, the catalog of traveling trips that they kept in the dining room for everyone's enjoyment was a great touch. Marie, from USA ~ 17th Aug 2011

Rooms were extremly small and dark (beds not apt for people higher than 1,80mt). It is very boring if is raining, as you dont have an area with tv or wifi, and you can´t read a book in your room due the lack of light. The hostel was open 24 hrs (not the reception), so was common that some guest made a lot of noise in the middle of the night. The lady that work in the hostel was very nice and helpful. rodolfo, from Chile ~ 30th Jun 2011
