Hotel Discovery in , Australia

the hostel was in a good location, not too far from the main touristarea....it was very party oriented so it would be good for young people looking to have a good time. The shower area was very nice, clean, and private, but the other bathroom facilities were very dirty. The rooms seemed clean enough and offered limited locker space to lock up valuables.The atmosphere of the hostel was very lively, fun, upbeat, and friendly, and there were plenty of activities provided by the hostel. This is a great hostel Staff is very friendly and helpful. Bathrooms are clean and lots of shower stalls. The elevator is a little unreliable and operational maintenance should be checked into since it's a huge hostel and elevator is in constant use. Kitchen is huge but needs to be kept cleaner. very big hostel. free internet and free breakfast. very central. the staff is very friendly. had a 16 bed dorm with enough space but there should be lockers in it and also a lamp for each bed.

Hi Jacky, Thanks for your feedback and I'm glad you enjoyed your stay. We have been putting lockers into rooms over the last couple of months with the goal for 50% of rooms to have lockers within a month and 100% by December. Light are a little lower down the priority list for us but hopefully one day! Enjoy the rest of your travels! Anna

Extremely good hostels and perfect location. I've never seen that much security at a hostel. Lots of events,and very friendly staff who can help you with just about everything. Sanni, from Denmark ~ 12th Jan 2012

Downside is that there were tons of people...it holds over 700 people so it was a bit overwhelming. But, the staff was friendly and they had everything you could need there. Travel agency was great, restaurant was the cheapest food one can get and it was quality food. It's a party hostel but not to the point where you can't have peace and quiet if you wanted it. The kitchen is too small, when you store your food in the kitchen it is taken by others, but nevertheless you are not allowed to store it in your room. There are not enough lockers for all guests of the hostel, especially in such a big hostel this is really unsafe! I stayed in a 16 bed dorm, there was only a small gap to open the window, so it was too hot to sleep in clothes, but i wasn't allowed to cover my bed to make it not visible for others.
