Had a single and it was a good price. I also was on the side of the building with a great view of Arenal outside my window. Decent people, but like a lot of places in C.R. if you're not booking excursions through them, the staff could really care less about you. They were in the process of revamping some of the rooms. LOVED Hotel Dorothy!Rolando and his staff are very kind and accommodating.Esteban is great if you need an airport transfer.we ended up staying there at the beginning of our trip and again at the end. Erin, from USA ~ 17th Jan 2012

Booking tours from the hostel was very convenient and a few dollars cheaper than the same tours in town.The hostel is a very short walk from the bus station and from all the restaurants/markets of La Fortuna.The upstairs patio has a great view of the volcano!
