We have received the last room in the 3rd floor after 3 long and steep stairs which were very challenging. No lift available, and no one to help with the luggage. On the other hand the breakfast was excellent and the bathroom was very clean. The room was old, small and hot (no AC available) but beds were confortable. I believe it was fair for a 2 star hotel. The price, unfortunately, was the highest in all Europe. Maybe because Amsterdam is astronomically expensive. Prepare your pockets. sergio, from Brazil ~ 13th Aug 2011

Hotel Verdi is a great spot for a couple traveling or a single person that desires some quiet.It is in a quiet neighborhood not too far from themuseum district but a long walk to the Red Light District.I will definitely be staying there next time I visit Amsterdam. Clifton, from USA ~ 6th Jul 2011
