The dorm I stayed in was clean. There were small lockers in the room to store valuables. The beds were comfortable and the shower/bathrooms were spacious and stocked with shampoo/body wash. The staff was friendly. I would definitely stay here again. The hostel itself is about a 15 minute walk from Hakata station, and right next to a Hotto Motto and a Lawson if you need a quick snack. Pros: Staff is quite knowledgeable about Fukuoka, and can give good recommendations about places to visit. Inexpensive Third floor has a nice kitchen and common area. Good wi-fi Cons: It's a bit far (10 to 15 minutes by foot) from Hakata Station (though they do give good directions for getting there). No breakfast available. There aren't many hostels around Hakata Station, but this is probably the best of what's available. It would be very good except that it's about a 15-20 minute walk from the station. Bus makes it a lot easier, but at a cost of 100 yen each way. yeon joo, from USA ~ 14th Sep 2011
