My cell phone was stolen. I was sleeping and left it on the charger next to me. I think this experience made me a little discontent with my stay but other than that I was satisfied. And the staff was very friendly and helpful.

This was one of my all time favorite hostels. The staff were really laid back and friendly. Beds were super comfortable. Hostel was clean, even the bathrooms. Location was perfect...close to Las Ramblas, but about two blocks away so you don't hear the noise all night. Breakfast was great...a rarity in Spanish hostels. The whole atmosphere was laid back, creative, chill, and there was always great music playing. Definately would come back again.

Clean, comfortable, good location, just be aware they charge for use of the internet on their computers, and also have a cerfew between 4 and 7AM.

the itaca h0stel spain is a smashinG place in a lovely part of the city the staff are very friendly but d0nt like 2 be woken from their beds (d0 any of Us) !!! they have a very strikt curfew from 4-7 am and this can really throw a spanner in the works of your trip so if you stay 0ut late do not bother with this hostel as it will not suit you but it is a safe h0stel and I met some gUineinlY niCe pe0ple ....t.Krane DubliN CitY

I definitely recommend this hotel:
1) it is right in the center of the gothic area BUT it is quiet at night (a part from the dustbin men who come at 2.00 am)
2) the staff is very friendly
3) the rooms/showers/kitchen are cleaned everyday.
Great place to go if you want cheap place to stay in Barcelona!

Thanks for the stay in Itaca Hostel, absolutly WONDERFUL.
A nice place to relax after walking around all day in the big city. Very helpful and nice staff, and the location is perfect. Recomended!!!!!

The staff and location were fantastic and the Hostel itself was extremely clean. We, that is my wife and I, grew quite fond of our private double room and came to think of it as our little flat during our week in Barcelona. For those looking for an authentic European environment during your stay in Barcelona, Itaca's private rooms are the place to stay!

the flat was very nice and clean. the only thing was that it was separated from other people so it never really gave us a chance to meet other travelers.
