Khangsar Guest House in , Nepal

Awesome sunny rooms with equally awesome rooftop view. We planned for 1 but stayed for 6 nights! Very good value for the price! Fantastic location with super friendly and helpful staff. I had a wonderful time in Kathmandu. I had not any plan about my travel about trekking and travel. However, Rajendra, the boss of the hostel kindly helped me to plan the ABC trekking and arrange everything about it. He introduce a nice guide to me. so, I could have a wonderful trekking in annapurna. all staffs were also very friendly and always ready to help me. I stayed several nights at Khangsar Guest House in Kathmandu. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the owner assisted my friend and I in making all our arrangements, even the ones that he made no commission from and had nothing to do with. We ended up booking our trek to Everest Base Camp through the hostel and their guide was very friendly and helpful too. great!!!! If you are after a Hostel in the heart of Thamel which is within a backpackers budget, then the Khangsar Guest House is your place!! Great helpfull staff!!a honest and decent travel booking agent included!!! Hot shower and Honesty is the top marks of this place, including a roof top garden/bar!! I felt really welcome at Khangsar Guest House. Raj, who is the owner, is always ready with a smile and very accommodating. He knows Nepal very well and also having lived/worked in Europe he is highly conscious of the needs/desires of his foreign guests. The guest house itself is located in the middle of Thamel.
