Lucky-Hostel in San Diego, Poland

Only 3 toilet/sink/shower rooms for 30+ guests- not nearly enough! Very thin walls, so the lower level is more like one 24-bed dorm, rather than 3 rooms.Drunks in the next room kept me up from 4-6 am. Dorm rooms were very cramped.No lockers.No bikes for rent. Lots of things (door handles, taps, cabinets) need to be repaired. Late breakfast and free train station pick-up are the only redeeming qualities.

Dear Guest, Sorry you did not enjoy your stay. We had a group of very loud guests staying that time, we have tried to reason with them on numerous ocasions, our staff has asked them to keeo quiet at leat on 3 ocasionss, even once we called the police. It's not much help. I am sorry they have disturbed you, you could have asked for the room change , we just did not know how much they have disturbed other guests. Dorm rooms are not 24 beds. Maximum room is 10 beds (5 bunk beds) In the Hostel is 3 bathrooms and 3 bathrooms in the rooms. Polish regulations say - "a minimum of one bathroom for 15 people. Here is a 9.33 people for 1 bathroom. It is in accordance with the law. Broken door handle and broken valve in the shower, unfortunately the losses that arose after their stay big, noisy and drunk group.

The hostel is really clean and comfortable and you can have a free breakfast. But it's quite far from the city center and their english is weak.

You write praise, but give a very low score. Why? You slept in the apartment. completely private apartment for you at the price of a double room. There are two bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom and garden. The center is not far away. Only 5 bus stops. Is it so important to be close to the noise, the stench of car fumes and dangerous? Here is near the city, but it is very quiet, fresh air and is very safe area.

Nice people...Picked us up from the station and gave us lots of useful information. We had the apartment which was immaculately clean but basic. Not really sure of the fun aspect...It seemed fine but we didn't spend much time there! Location wise is OK but a 25 minute ride away from town. Buses run until 10.55 to a stop near the top of the road then all night to a further stop (About a mile away). Taxi back was 22 zl so less than £6 at the time of writing. I would happily stay there again.

Thank you very much for your good opinion. This is a good reward for our hard work for your comfort. Just a shame that many other guests do not understand it so well as you. We will be very pleased to welcome you again. In no very long time to finish the repairs of roads and the time the bus ride to the center will be short again, because only 10-12 minutes. I stayed two nights in an apparment near to the hostel in a Polish area. That was a very nice experience! Busses and trams nearby. Very friendly staff, they even bring me to the railwaystation after my stay! Marit, from Netherlands ~ 12th Jul 2011
