I really enjoyed staying here. Although if you need information about the outside world please make them double check. I lost my passport and about 25% of what they said was helpful/correct. But then - just dont lose your pasport. The bar/restaurant has overpriced food (although cheaper than on nanjing road), but it's fine if you just want some non-treatning western-ish food. Try the neighbouring local-food. I made many friends in that restaurant + sofa area, so it's nice for single travel Louise Friis, from Denmark ~ 14th May 2012

Ive stayed here on two separate occasions. Very good hostel: helpful staff, there is a bar downstairs with pool table, the rooms are secure with lockers and the beds are nice. Showers and toilets are more than adequate. I would stay here again. The location is just great, real close to the bund. Edward, from USA ~ 1st Apr 2012

Mould in the room, rat's in the stairway, useless staff tiny rooms. Not hangout friendly if you dont wanna pay alot of money to hang in their cold bar! Two nights was enough, i wont come back or recomend for anyone!!! Emil, from Sweden ~ 22nd Mar 2012

The location is great and the price is good! The room was really big. When we arrived it was really cold in the room but someone show us how to turn on the AC and it was fine. We had our private bathroom, it was really clean and nice. The only problem was the hot water, that wasn't hot. You have to turn on the shower for 10 minutes and then come back to a warmish (almost cold) water... (half of our stay the water was fine, though) But I guess if it's the only bad side, it's a good place Léonor, from France ~ 8th Mar 2012

This is the fifth or sixth time I have stayed here.I know the location very well, it is convenient for transportation, and the double rooms are reasonably priced and very spacious.The food in the cafe is overpriced and, apart from the first time I stayed here, the atmosphere is less lively than in other hostels.But, I can definitely recommend it. The rooms are ok, nothing wrong with them. But the real nice feature of this hostel is the downstairs cafe and terras. They have a pool table, couches and tables. They serve drinks and food but they usually let you bring in your own (much) cheaper beer from the shop next door.All in all, this a really friendly place to sit down and meet other travelers of all ages. The best hostel I've stayed at in China. Staff are very nice and very helpful. The hostel is clean but no soap at toilets.The beds are good. Location is very good. I will definitly recommend the hostel. Karina, from Denmark ~ 10th Nov 2011
