It's a good place to stay but the Bathroom need to repair, it's so old and not good.

It's the second time I'm coming to MacGabhainns. It's a very good place for bacpackers, with a friendly atmosphere (lovely dogs!). Probably the cleanest hostel I've ever been to, and with a great kitchen to use. I totally recommend it :-) celia, from France ~ 17th Feb 2012

This hostel is a little farther away from the centre than the other hostel in town, but the town is small so its not a big deal. The rooms were tiny and so were the bathrooms. The room was clean but the bathroom left something to be desired. Also they have dogs staying there which was a problem for my allergies. The hostel was pretty quiet when I was there, but I would imagine it would be very cramped when it gets busy. I probably wouldn't stay there again. Mimi Ginger, from Canada ~ 17th Jan 2012

Of all the hostels I stayed at in Ireland, this one was my favorite. The location is great and the amenities are fairly typical, but its the staff that puts this place in my highly recommended category. Thanks for the great stay guys! Austin, from USA ~ 25th Oct 2011

It's tidy and quite clean. The kitchen is well equipped and organised. Timetables and event-ads on the wall are out of date, but you can get all important infos at the tourist office. We had a friendly welcome and were shown everything we needed. Only annoying thing is the noise of the road if you want to have the window open at night, but that is just in a few rooms of all. We stayed here based on the ratings online but were disappointed.The staff was super friendly and helpful but this didn't make up for the fact that the hostel seemed run down and worn.While everything is within 10 minutes, There appears to be other hostels more centrally located.Also, the breakfast could have been easily improved.However, it was a cheap option that works.
