Would highly recommend this hostel. The staff were really helpful and welcoming (in english!) and the atmosphere in general was bright and social. Had a nice common room with computers, couches etc. Elisabeth, from Australia ~ 15th Apr 2012

Hostel was small but comfortable. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. At first I was disappointed in paying for breakfast, but for 2 euro it was the best breakfast in town. The smaller cozy atmosphere was nice for the first night of my trip. Dietrich, from USA ~ 25th Apr 2012

Excellent service, atmosphere, location and mainly staff. Friendly and very helpful people. Incredibly clean. If you are sad, talk to Daniel. If you need help talk to Cacau. If you need solve something talk to Gustavo. For everything else, Edina is the right person, she is just amasing. CASSIANO, from Brazil ~ 9th Apr 2012

I stayed 3 nights here and had a great time. The hostel is in a 3 floor building. The lobby is on the ground with a basement internet living room which is quite cozy. The first night I stayed in the Private Double bed room which is directly above the lobby. It was pretty noisy as the walls are very thin. The 2 other nights were in a 4 bedroom unit and it was much quieter being 2 floors above the lobby. Overall facilities were nice although the brick floors keep your feet wet from a shower Kevin, from USA ~ 21st Mar 2012

Probably the best hostel I have been to. The location is great and the people are a lot of fun (especially Daniel who is beyond awesome!) yet it is quite and comfortable when you need it to be. Philip, from Denmark ~ 1st Feb 2012

I chose this hostel due to the description making clear that it was a quiet peaceful hostel that respects the needs to quiet at night, as I was getting in from a day of travelling and needed a good sleep. But the 9 bed dorm has old creaky metal framed bunks that are impossible to get up onto without shaking like mad, I had three snorers in my dorm (not the hostels fault) and there was a party in the lobby (outside the dorm I was in) until approx 1am that was very noisy. But the staff were good. Benjamin, from England ~ 6th Jan 2012

Mambo Tango was without a doubt the best hostel I stayed at during my travels through Europe. The staff definitely made the experience one of a kind, especially Gustavo during the day, and Daniel at night. They gave great advice about things to do, and most importantly places to eat. The atmosphere was amazing and unique to this hostel. Loved the hostel, and loved the people. I will definitely be going back. Toni, from Australia ~ 21st Dec 2011

Love it! The best hostel in all of my travels. Super helpful friendly staff, who know the city and all the best places to explore. Free WiFi, good location to transport & harbour. Fabulous atmosphere without being to noisy at night. Very clean :o) Margaret, from Australia ~ 4th Dec 2011

The staff are very friendly and the atmosphere is great! But there is a little distance from the metro and it's not on the main street, so a little inconvenient. Xunjia, from China ~ 2nd Apr 2012
