Great place to stay if your on a budget in Dublin. Located right off main road it is really easy to find and its on a really nice street. No elevator, and we were stuck on the 5th floor, so not a good option if you have problems with stairs. Breakfast cost 1 euro every morning but it was decent so no one minded. Clean, good rooms and nice staff. Christina, from USA ~ 7th May 2012

Stayed 3 nights in 6bed-mixed shared dorm. Just two things I did not like-the showers (not so many)- but can survive:)and there are no lockers in the rooms, another minus. Otherwise, fine hostel, located very central and good for walking in Dublin. Perfect breakfast for just 1euro, also computers in the common hall for checking mails. And big equipped kitchen in the basement to cook your own food (preferably pasta :) ) For me it was worth the money, would come back if in Dublin next time. :) Michaela, from Slovakia ~ 18th Apr 2012

Very noisy, tough to sleep. Otherwise a fine hostel. Not recommended if you have an early morning to the airport or bus. Matt, from USA ~ 5th Apr 2012

There were only 2 showers on our floor & the large number of people on our floor. We waited to shower after the morning rush (after 10am) but then found there was no hot water! The internet is painfully slow, but generally I thought the place was just over priced but were staying on st patricks weekend. Rachel, from New Zealand ~ 24th Mar 2012

My stay in Dublin was fabulous. The lobby and kitchen staff were excellent-ever so cheerful and obliging. With the inclusion of a light breakfast, its an unbeatable deal. As with any hostel, learn about your roomates, and take care of your things to ensure security. Overall, Mt. Eccles is a thumbs up. sherilyn, from USA ~ 25th Oct 2011

Its a few minutes away from city centre conveniently located for the places to visit. The hostel is an old building with high ceilings. Room had only two beds and a chair with shabby facilities. The sheets were clean but linens and matress were not. Staff was generally helpful. Do not expect any hing from the breakfast than filling ur stomach with bread and butter. It's not bad for a couple of days unless you find a better one. OZGUR, from England ~ 19th Aug 2011

Nice hostel with good facilities that is close to the center of town but not too noisy. No lockers in rooms which was not great but a locker system is there inside a locked storage room. Staff are nice and helpful, an enjoyable stay :) Matthew, from New Zealand ~ 5th Jul 2011

Not a bad place to crash. Friendly staff and free wifi throughout the whole building. Not very modern as far as furnishings but definately great for the budget. Also, the walk back from temple bar isn't very hard even if you are swerving across the sidewalk. Christopher, from USA ~ 18th Jun 2011

This is a calm, quiet hostel for people whose lives no longer revolve around drinking. The best part about this hostel is the people I met. There were great groups of tourists from all over Europe. It's a little out of the way, but worth the trip. Matthew, from USA ~ 7th Jun 2011
