I wasn't able to book K's in Kawaguchiko (where I stayed before on a previous trip), so I booked here. Boy, did I luck out! This hostel is great - new, well thought out (wi-fi, lockers, latest Japanese toilets, showers, etc.), and with friendly and helpful staff! Michael and his wife, Kazuko, were super welcoming and helped me plan my Mt. Fuji climb. I concur with the other review, definitely have the spaghetti meatballs! So good! Very friendly and helpful staff!! I have stayed here twice and was very pleased both times. The rooms are clean, the facilities are nice and quite new, and the staff are very helpful with anything and everything. Very highly recommended.The staff is extremely accommodating.I needed to leave my bags an extra night and come pick them up after finishing my Fuji hike and they were very easy going with it.They also lent me something that I forgot to pack.Great folks for sure. Joseph S, from USA ~ 22nd Aug 2012
