a fantastic stay at the lodge!!It's up a rather steep hill but the climb is scenic and there's even a trail leading up the hill you can use instead.The staff was amazing, incredibly friendly and helpful.Onsen just a bit further up the road.A perfect place to leave behind the fury of Tokyo Ken, from USA ~ 30th Jun 2011

Really nice dinner served at the hostel, with very friendly staff. Rooms themselves a bit dated but clean and tidy enough. Should turn the heating down a bit. Jey, from Wales ~ 25th Oct 2011

Overall, a nice place to stay for the $.Would be nice to sound proof the internal walls a bit more.Was a bit suprized when a lodge worker unlocked our door and walked in on us sleeping, especially since it wasn't our check out day.Staff was very helpful and directed us to some nice sites.
