When we first arrived at Peace & Love hostel in Paris they told us that our reservation for our first night was been canceled. So we had to go to another hotel at 23:00 PM. The lady that worked there was not very nice, and they did not have any good service skills at all. They only cared about the money. Hello,On arrival there was no running water due to a leak on arrival which eventually got fixed and we were still charged the full amount of money with out being informed of the issue.I had great difficulty in unlocking my bed room door each time and had to call for assistance. El hostal tiene mala ubicación,es muy lejos de los sitios turisticos (casi 1 hora en metro hasta la torre Eiffel y otros sitios). No es muy limpio (las duchas muy sucias),las camas suenan mucho cuando uno se mueve y son pequeñas. No hay un lugar independiente para colocar las maletas, tienes que ponerlas con las demas. No hay pc para acceder a Internet y si se quiere acceder en la noche hay que pagar el Wi-fi. The location is very convenient to Gare du Nord, however you must take the Metro to see any of the sights. The bar downstairs is always lively with welcoming staff, and there is a kitchen available in the basement for free use, along with small lockers to keep your valuables safe. The beds are average and the living space was tight (we were in a 14 person room), however it is perfect for meeting people. The description of the location and hostel should be more realistic. The location is unsafe, the conditions aren't the best, and clean wise, the hostel lacks cleaning. The staff could be more polite and helpful. Also, considering the tube location, more detailed information should be provided, as Gare du Nord, is not as near, and the monuments and points of interest in the town aren't near. This hostel was definitly the right choice - 2 Metro Stations metres away (Jaurés), from where you can go nearly everywhere in Paris. Straight over the street there´s a McDonalds, a supermarket, and some bars and restaurants. The Staff was very friendly, they speak perfect english and help you with informations everytime. The hostel offers free WiFi from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., a kitchen in the cellar with microwave oven, a stove and a fridge. Very nice place to stay! Just be aware, that "you book not a room, but a type of it". It means you can be moved to another room and your travel group may be splitted although you see it in another way in the Hostels.com booking system. Darya, from Russia ~ 2nd Jan 2013
