Seriously, the BEST hostel you will ever find in Seoul. It's clean, modern, the facilities are up-to-date, and the staff are such friendly and wonderful people. There's free international calling available in the main lobby and Internet access. It's literally 1-2 minutes walking distance from the subway and the Family Mart located in the same building is open 24/7. Whenever I go to Seoul, I always book at this hostel!!! The price and general layout of the room was excellent. However, when I arrived there was hair in the sink and all over the bathroom that had NOTt been cleaned after the previous guest left. so when I tried to use the sink, it was horibly clogged with someone else's hair. Phil's Guesthouse is a wonderful place to stay for your visit in Seoul.It's got incredible convenience and is the best bet for travelers on a budget.They provide free breakfast and free laundry service, that was a huge plus.I would say it is not close to any of the party places like Itaweon, Gangnam, or Hongdae, takes a little under an hour by subway to most of these places and a 10 minute cab ride.But aside from that the hostel is better than I imagined. The staff was very helpful even in the wee hours of the morning.Location is pretty good with Achasan Station being less than 3 minutes walking from the hostel and a wide variety of great restaurants situated about 10 minutes away.Also, there is a great free zoo very close by.The rooms are clean and they provide sheets for the mattress and pillow.Each room has its own washing machine, airconditioner, full bath and coded locked door.
