Portsmouth & Southsea Backpackers Lodge in Portland, Anglie

We were not very impressed by the quality of this hostel, it's only upside is good location. As mentioned in another comment already - the showers really are pathetic. I've had better shower in Africa. Tomas, from Czech Republic ~ 4th Sep 2011

The room was small. Lamp by the bed does not work. Very few shower and washroom (luckily each time I could use it without a queue). No breakfast available. Limited reception hours (check out before 10am but reception only open at 10am...) Nothing interesting (winter) within 10 mins walk. Staff can't even tell me where to take the bus to train station... I will only stay here because of 10 miles Great South Run (3 mins walk from Start/Finish point) Wang Fung, from Hong Kong ~ 2nd Nov 2011

I would not recommend this venue as the showers were non-existent (a trickle, taking 5 mins to get me wet) with no sugestion they'd be remedied. And the beds weren't exactly comfortable, and I'm never normally fussy. Nicholas, from England ~ 30th Aug 2011
