The location is great, theroom we booked was neither 'not ready' upon arrival nor the nexte day as promised. Having a 'private room' on ground floor, window to a stair case just in front of the 'party & breakfast tables' is just noy the best thing on earth. Wolfgang, from Germany ~ 9th May 2012

The location of the hostel was perfect and it was a nice environment insinde of the hostel. The staff in the bar/restaurant however wasn't that friendly though. There were no games or any other activites inside of the hostel. Axel, from Sweden ~ 1st Nov 2011

This hostel is great! Great location in a hutong near Tiananmen Square. Very friendly staff, hearty welcome, good food, clean rooms. If I am in Beijing again, it is only in the Qianmen Hostel! Piotr, from Poland ~ 15th Aug 2011

The room (double bed, ensuite) was basic but very clean, can't beat the location of this hostel, their Western breakfasts at Y25, are tasty and set you up for the day, and it's easy to meet other travelers in their lovely courtyard. I'd also recommend their Great Wall tour to the Jinshanling section of the wall which is less crowded and touristy than Badaling or Mutianyu. Regina, from Germany ~ 7th Jun 2011
