Complimentary breakfast (which was actually quite nice!), very accommodating, big TV in a nice common room, great shower and a very clean room with air con all to myself! What more could I ask for at this amazing price :) David, from Ireland ~ 1st May 2013

I liked the place and that this heritage spirit internal. We arrived early morning 6 am and was checked in with no problem. Only one remark: i found some neglect acting one the reception. All other is very good! Varvara, from Russia ~ 9th Apr 2013

Very nice and clean place with friendly owners and staff. Major drawback is the complete lack of sound-proofing. You will hear everyone talking, snoring, playing and even walking (wooden staircase and floors). Use earplugs or dring yourself to sleep and everything is great =) Dan, from Sweden ~ 17th Feb 2013

A very central place handy to main streets. Were warm & helpful when I turned up on their doorstep at 7.30 in the morning having just got off the night train. Room ready & had shower. Can recommend here & will stay again when next in Penang. Debbie, from New Zealand ~ 5th Oct 2012

Well, it took us some time to find this hostel location but luckily people there were kind enough to show and guide us to the place. It is within walking distance to KOMTAR & other historical sites in Georgetown. The cleanliness & facilities of the room was just satisfactory, but it was quite noisy during the night (poor sound-proofing system). You can find yourself dinner and supper at the hawkers stall along the Lebuh Chulia which is quite near to the hostel. CHIANG HORNG, from Malaysia ~ 23rd Sep 2012

Realy a good hostel! The staff is very nice and the accomodation was perfect! Everything was clean and we had great breakfast every morning. We arrived at 5:30 which was no problem at all and the day we check out we still could take a shower at 10 pm before going to the bus.. Definitely the best hostel i've stayed in so far!
