You defenetely need earplugs. Because of the good location (less than 5 minutes walking from the Charles Bridge) does the noise never stop. Also strange, there is no kitchen at the hostel. So you need to bring your own plates etc. if you want to have your own bread. So you can store your food in a fridge. Just ask the staff. For cooking you need to rent the kitchen. But for a weekend trip it defenetly was a good location.
