Safestay at Elephant and Castle in , Anglie

I usually don't review hostels and hotels but feel strongly I should reward this hostel for offering me a good stay. This place was more like a hotel. Perfect facilities, very clean, quiet, modern and excellent standard. I stayed in a four person mixed room with en suite. Great room and really fresh toilet and shower room. Staff was helpful and friendly and really nice when I thought check out time was 11 instead of 10. Buses right outside and close to tube.. Wifi didn't work everywhere though. We were very pleasantly surprised by Safestay! The rooms were incredibly clean, beds/linens were comfortable and clean, and there were individual security baskets for each bed (we had to have our own locks though).The breakfast was good, and the staff was helpful in telling us what kind of transportation options we had to make up for a more distant location.Overall a great experience! The staff here was rude and unhelpful. We asked if they could help us book tickets on the London Eye, and were told to do it ourselves. We asked if they could recommend a place to eat and they said they didn't know. Also, one of my girls sat down on the toilet seat to take off her shoes and it snapped in multiple pieces. It hurt and she was very upset. I told them about it, and they not only didn't care at all about her, but then charged us 50 pounds to replace it. Amanda, from USA ~ 20th Feb 2013

The hostel was great. The rooms had a lot of space and the fact that it has a toilet ensuite is great! Very clean and in very good conditions. The breakfast was good enough but I think that it could have more variety. (like bread for example). The security and the location was great, like 15 min walking to Waterloo train station. we arrived in London at night and at first we couldn't find the hostel because of the direction was not so clear for us. But eventually we found it before 10, so was good! after that we wanted to look for dinner outside but most things are closed already so we went back to hostel. However, the next morning, we got our breakfast, orange juice was not the best one but okay. we had our private 2 rooms which was just awesome. we love it so much, with private bathroom, tv, towel, and locker under bed Monica, from Indonesia ~ 11th Feb 2013
