Nice location in a quiet place just few minutes driving from the Dead Sea and Masada. Very nice atmosphere (but there were - fortunately - only very few guests that two nights) for those who want to chill and relax. Tents, toilets, showers and kitchen are absolutely tidy and nice. The water in the shower was not really hot (but definitely not too cold) which I find good - desert is not for spoiled people! Appropriate only for tourists with a car. Shkedi Camplodge was a nice place to stay. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere and an inviting place to be. However, they are touted as "Eco" - I would not agree - there were no recycling facilities (even with a plastic recycling cage 5 minutes walk from the place), no organic waste composting, and all electricity was from the mains. However the buildings were simple and used many local materials. Also the local area outside the camplodge was very dead and felt quite artificial, like a c Adam, from England ~ 2nd May 2012
