Smyle Inn in Singapore, India

Overall, I would say it is a decent place to stay.Its definitely well located as it's in the middle of the main bazaar and super close to the train station...make sure you confirm your airport pickup, because they forgot about me.As for staff, aside from Hashish who was super nice, the rest of them were a bit rude.They dont have dorms and it doesnt really have a place for the backpackers to mingle, so it makes it hard to meet other travelers, but its worth the money(cheap!) Free internet, staff is a bit uptight and unorganzied.When I arrived, I was told that they didn't have a room for me, even though I had a reservation.Then all of a sudden, he found a room.Concierge at the internet lounge was very helpful.Worth spending a few extra Rupees to have him book the trains for you. THIS IS A CLEAN PLACE AND THE BOSS IS HELPFUL AND SPEAKS ENGLISH. HE HELPED ME TO GET ANOTHER ROOM IN THE SAME AREA FOR THE EXTRA DAY WHICH I NEVER BOOKED. MUST REQUEST FOR A AIRPORT TRANSVER THRU EMAIL/FON ( VERY REASONABLY PRICED) BECOZ FOR THE NEW COMERS IN PAHARGANJ AREA FINDING THIS PLACE IS DIFFICULT. OTHER THAN THAT ITS OK. So close to the train station which is very handy. The free breakfast is also a great feature! Really appreciated the travel agency being right in the hostel - arriving in Delhi for the first time and trying to piece together what to do in India -especially the train schedules is daunting - so having someone there for suggestions and help is great.I would definitely stay here again - if for nothing else - the ease of it! It's much better than expected in terms of good price (breakfast included even @11 a.m.), good location (near to train station), good services (airport pickup), good staff (helpful in direction) and good facilities (hot water, wifi) except a bit noisy sometimes at night due to barking dogs and a bit smelly tap water probably due to the water pipeline system. Was a decent place to stay for the price we paid. Bit disappointed as it was only 1 degree's in delhi so really cold so we had to pay extra for a fan heater which only just heated the room. The shower hot water will only work sometimes and had to make several requests. Apart from that its an okay place for what you pay for is what you get. Abs, from England ~ 17th Jan 2012
