I stayed in a 4 bed room dorm. The hostel is located in an excellent location if you visit museum around museumplein. But if you want to hang out in Jordan and red light district. Then near dam square may be better choice. MYRA, from USA ~ 27th Apr 2013

Amenities were good like the wifi and good, cheap food and drink at the bar. Common area could have been cleaner, and timing of checkin could have been better since 2 room mates arrived late at night after I had already went to bed, which was disruptive and annoying. There was no soap in the bathrooms either. Craig, from USA ~ 20th Jan 2013

As I came in to the information the hostel looked pretty okay in my opinion. But when I and my friend came into our room (2 bed room) we did not like it. The room was small with a bunk bed of steel (!). Highly discomforting. Also we had to buy towels and make our own bed (put beedsheets on ourselves etc.). The shower was poor (almost no water coming out of it) and the floor was really cold. Anne-Sofie Sivle, from Norway ~ 16th Nov 2012

No frills with this hostel. It is near the Hard Rock Cafe, which is an okay area - we started to call the area tourist town though...It's better to be closer to central station, but still about 20 min walk to everything from Vondelpark. The hostel is bare, bathroom was clean but aged, bed was firm, bedding was okay. We didn't stay at the hostel much. Not very warm or inviting, but okay to sleep at.It's a cheap hostel in a decent area. I would have rather spent $20 more/night for a nicer one. I don't know why but the charges made on hostels.com was more expensive than if you book it at the hostel on spot! Don't know why such discrimination? Is almost a difference of 10 euros per night for similar 6 bedroom, despite me booking months in advance! Nakul, from India ~ 30th Sep 2012

Quite good. They have large lockers in the lobby (~2 euros for an entire day) for you to store your large backpacks, which allows you the option to check out in the morning, store your baggage, and still explore the city during the day, before leaving for your next destination. Each room has its own bathroom no complaints: cleanliness is probably dependent on who you're staying with. Breakfast is wonderful: coffee, tea, bread, cheese, cold-cut meats, juice. Location is acceptable. Joseph, from Canada ~ 1st Aug 2012

Rude staff, no kitchen, expensive vending machines, not enough restrooms. The rooms are a decent size at least, and the breakfast is better than your typical hostel "breakfast," but this is not a place with much character or much else to recommend it, although it is at least fairly clean and well located.
