We stayed in a 12 persons room and our beds were located on the centre of the room between 2 doors (WC and bathroom), very bad location! too expensive (74 € /person)! Breakfast was really good! Age group: my son (18) and me (44) Celia, from Portugal ~ 10th Apr 2012

I thought this was a great hostel, that being said however, make sure you know why you are coming to Amsterdam. A lot of people come to party obviously, and then if that is what you are looking to do by all means, book here. Yes, it is a little more pricey than the rest but you will get your money's worth. The staff was great, and the bar was amazing. If you aren't looking for this, then don't book here. I personally had an amazing time and plan on going back and only booking here. Right in the heart of the red light district, enjoy or beware, you decide.Dorm rooms are great, everything you need, comfortable and clean.Common area is the bar down stairs which is thick with smoke, fine if that's what you're there for. Jessica, from Australia ~ 23rd Feb 2012

This wasn't a bad place at all just felt very average after everything was all said and done, especially after I had some more experience with other hostels.This shower was ok and the beds were a little rough.It was close to lots of very fun things and the staff was fairly helpful.They also had a pretty good breakfast included in the price Jeffrey, from USA ~ 3rd Jan 2012

Everything went fine except for the smell of cigarette and weed in our room (first floor). Even if smoking is not allowed within the bedrooms, people can smoke in the lobby, and the smoke gets to the first floor at night ! Virginie, from France ~ 16th Nov 2011

There's only 1 electrical outlet for 12 people to use in a room. The internet was slow and one computer ate my money (front desk did refund me though). Some girl at the front desk tried to make me feel stupid because I asked her to print out my boarding pass from her computer using my email. At breakfast they seemed to want to hurry the food out of there, and food was nothing special. I had creepy, older men stay in my room.
