Great hostel for a low price. The only thing we were missing was a mirror in the room. Next to that you could leave your key in a box at the reception, but in nighttime noboby really looks after those keys. So we decided to take the keys with us as we wanted to keep our passports and everything safe. But next to that great value for a very low price. Also breakfast is included. Rooms with only fans in the hot season suck...so the $6 price was nice but it costs $15 for an A/C remote to use the A/C machine - a whopping $9 more!There were bed bugs, but I hear that's common in these parts so maybe they shouldn't be condemned for that.The staff is a little friendly - though maybe it's the culture, I'm not sure - a lot of touchy-feely going on - just FYI.I arranged a 3 day Angkor tour w/ them and it was a little too unorganized - rent a bike instead - short ride. The King Angkor Villa in Siem Reap was a great stay for us.We only planned to stay in Siem Reap 2 nights, but ended up staying 4 just because we liked the area so much, and also because the staff at the King were great.Mr. Seng is the person we dealt with mostly, and he went out of his way to make sure we had all we needed.When we left, it felt like they were genuinely sad to see us go, which was kind of nice.I would definitely recommend staying here - price + staff = AWESOME PLACE! We enjoyed this place very much, it was very central and the room had two double beds with a lot of space. You have to play for air con but the fan is free. Also, I have to give a big plus to the Hostal because we were picked up from the airport for no extra cost! Unbelievable and great! A tuk tuk took us to the hostel and we gave the driver a small tip. Good prices & convenient location. DO NOT BOOK TOURS OR TUK TUK TRANSPORT THROUGH THEM. We booked two different tours through them and were cheated both times. The second day we almost didn't get to see all we wanted to of Angkor Wat b/c they told our tuk tuk driver something different than they told us. It took a very heated phone call to the hostel and then out tuk tuk driver stepping up and being a good guy for us to get what they had promised us in the first place. Trips or Tuk Tuk-Rides are overpriced. Internet usually never works. Mold all over the bathrooms. No furniture in the room except a bed and tv board. Sheets smell like used but are actually clean. Staff is ok. Don´t book One-Day-Angkor-Tour because they will just take you around the temples they choose for you and not the ones you would like to see, although you buy a ticket for the entire park. This isn\'t a great hostel and it\'s not a horrible hostel. Apparently there is suppossed to be wifi available in the rooms, but I could barely pick it up, and most of the time it was on the fritz. Not a horrible place to stay but the \"Khmer Art\" they advertise was just some scarves on the wall..nothing special. Also once you get there they try to push tours and such on you, which can be a bit annoying. The location is good, walking distance from the town markets and such. Elizabeth, from USA ~ 2nd Feb 2012
