The Tent Village in , Switzerland

My only complaints are the slugs, and I swear i saw mice running behind the beds, but I suppose it added to the nature experience, I'm just afraid some people might not be too thrilled to sleep there after seeing them. Location is great: not much to do. My friends and I walked from the train station to the hostel (with some amount of effort). Across the street is a mall where you can buy things like sunglasses and, most importantly, cheap beer and food! Many things are $$$ in Switzerland, so grocery stores are a god-send. Only complaint is that there is no hot-water only luke-warm. This is not a problem if you shower in the afternoon, but at night it's down-right chilly. Staff is great, nice music. The power went out for a full day in my tent and also in the main building for hours during the Eurocup Championship...so that was pretty ridiculous. It could've been enjoyable had the weather been nice (not their fault, obviously), but it would've been more endurable had basic things like electricity been reliable. Favorite hostel-like place I've ever stayed. The scenery is beautiful, its super cheap for Interlaken, the activities are great - go canyoning! The staff is friendly and helpful and honestly likes their job, and the atmosphere is fun. People chilled out by the pool and hot tub, played ping pong, and the tent village hosted a show by good ska-rock band while we were there. The tents got pretty hot once the sun came up, but you could finish sleeping on the lawn chairs if it bothered you. Wendy, from USA ~ 16th Jun 2012

Amazing place to stay. Awesome people at the reception.. Should also try the hot tub which they have.. nice place to stay rite in the middle of the mountains.. they are have bicycle which you can take and for free.. Worth to stay.. Especially if u in interlaken explore the sports adventure the guys at the reception have good contact with outdoor adventure. You dont have to go anywhere the bus will come to picku up at your doorstep. HIGHLY RECOMMEND GEORGE, from India ~ 3rd Jun 2012
