William Penn House in Pamukkale, Amerika

Location & staff great. Compared to other DC lodging, economical but high for a hostel. Linens good. Beds in good shape. Not enough bathroom facilities (biggest problem) and two showers out of commission. Disappointed in lack of interaction. Everyone did hes own thing. I appreciated the non-smoking and non-drinking. Everyone considerate, just boring. I went to bed early maybe more friendly later. Maybe have someone host breakfast. The young lady, who checked me in and out, was SO nice and polite! She was awesome! :) The location is great. Just a few blocks away from Metro stations. I don't know why but there were a lot of older people ??? Which I thought was extreamly weird. But everyone was nice. Magda, from Mexico ~ 8th Oct 2011

Good location but you should be careful in the night time.. And they dont have a locker room..

We do have lockers that guests can rent for $5 for their entire stay. They are small (but larger enough to hold most laptops, purses and other small valuables). The lockers are in the basement and guests can always access them. We also allow guests to keep small items in the office, which is either locked or has a staff person in it. The office is open from 7am to 9pm. Just ask about rending a locker or leaving something with us in the office. Being just 5 blocks from the center of US government, we are in a very safe neighborhood, but it is good to be reminded that you should always be careful in a large city.

Great Place to Stay to chill and get away from all the forced misguided wanna be fun BS going on at other hostels in DC. As an America who has traveled all over the world staying in hostels this is one of the best.
