YHA Oxford in , Anglie

Basic accommodation, as far as hostels go. The place certainly had character - posters and pictures on the walls of famous people from Oxford. Great location in terms of being near the station, but not in terms of being anywhere near the city centre, so it could be a bit of a hike. No kitchen and you have to pay for wifi, which cuts out all the time. The hostel was fine, but I had ...interesting roommates and was feeling homesick, so this review might be a bit biased. Positives: -SO close to station! -24 hour bar (and garden) -Close to the town sights, amenities -Easy to find and travel to/from Seacourt Park & Ride -Shared a 6-bed private dorm with just 2 friends even paying for two beds each, cheaper than anywhere else -Generally clean, quiet, pleasant, spacious Negatives: -Late checkout didn't stop cleaners coming in 4 times w/out knocking -Sanitary bin in room full, not emptied in WEEKS FLIES!! -No individual security in dorms or leaving bags Hannah, from England ~ 12th Aug 2012
