The room was damp, the window didn't open properly (and the view from the window was a great big wall) - no hot water on the first morning. Members of staff seem to hate their job (except for the girl, who did smile). I left my bag in the locker room and found it had been searched through. Don't trust the pictures on the website, you'd be very disappointed. As for the terrace on the roof, most hostels have one, so it's not a bonus. Elisa, from France ~ 12th Jan 2013

I had a great stay here. The room was bright, warm and clean and I loved the top deck and the view from there! I'm a writer, so in the times I wasn't out hiking or biking, I enjoyed writing up on the deck with a fantastic view :) Karen, from USA ~ 21st Nov 2012

This location is prime if you want to be near the action. Close to the bus station and in the center of the touristy city. It is still very quite. The staff speak good english and are willing to engage you if you have any questions. It could be a little cleaner but it is not bad. The beds have curtains for privacy and to keep light out. I believe it is more "mature" than the other close hostel MJ's. I recommend staying here and going elsewhere if you want beerpong and loud music when you go o Lane, from USA ~ 8th Aug 2012

Watch a map before try to get the place, is not enough with the indications. The place was nice, had wifi in the rooms, lookers room. Maybe a little bit noisy but I think all in the downtown have the same problem. David, from Spain ~ 21st Jul 2012
