This is tuly a pleasant place to rest and shake off the stress oftravel. This is definitely notthepace to go if you are looking to have a prty or meet other backpackers but if you want a charming location and a clean,awesome nights seepon some of the best beds I have ever slept in (hostel not) this i your place. Be sure to ask Andre about his amazing candlelit dinners they are worth the visit themselves.

This is a boutique backpackers with a live-in host (Andre) who is incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable about Pietermaritzburg , KwaZulu-Natal and the whole of South Africa. Cold winter nights by the coal fire with a good book or dinner in the back dining room with candles are some of the special treats. A true home away from home.
