The best part about this place was the staff, they\'re super friendly. The place is an old apartment building 5th floor, small elevator up to the hostel. The place definitely has character. We had to share a common area with others but we had our own bedroom, there was only one bathroom in our part of the hostel, The location isn\'t horrible about a 15-20 minute walk to the Colosseum and the other tourist sights, it is also located VERY close to the metro. Great place for the price

Staff were extremely knowledgable about the area and helpful with booking things like cabs to the airport, or researching things for you. Access to internet and phone were readily available. Close to Colosseum and other key Roman sites. Not the most "touristy" area when it came to things like finding restaurants. Overall - a good hostel.

For traveling with our 8 year old, AIW was a bit far from center ville tho' ok for adults walking. Air con in rooms was unpredictable. Furniture falling apart. Good breakfast and available all morning. Friendly though often absent staff. Terrace & bathrooms not the cleanest. Safe.

really cute hostel. walking distance from most things. breakfast was great. internet free.. nice common room. could have been a little cleaner but certainly wasn't dirty by any standard. a floor mat in the bathroom would have been good though.

In a quiet part of town but it is right next to a metro stop and not too far of a walk down to the Colosseum. Maxi was a great help with the map and suggestions, showing where the cheap but good places to eat were and where the best sights were. Served a might good breakfast. Lovely little terrace that everybody could go to and chill. Living room with satellite tv and internet. Kitchen for cooking your own meals (supermarket right around the corner) and a fun receptionist with a great personality. Keys to get through each door, but at least you know you are safe! Just a nice quiet B&B. Would stay here again, most definitely.
