Sydney Beachhouse was awesome.. I stayed during Christmas and the hostel put on a big Christmas lunch, and provided tons of activities to keep us from being homesick during the festive season. Staff were very friendly, and the entire place had tons of character. Collaroy was a nice getaway from the city, very quiet beach, a short bus ride to Manly.

This hostel would be perfect in the summer, but for the winter it is really far from Sydney and everything (including the hostel office) closes really early.

Hostel is quite far from City (1hr by bus) but if you want just to get away with great beachside and few cafe's restaurants in area it is the very relaxed chilled out area.

The Beachhouse was the first hostel i stayed in and i had the time of my life. i was only suppose to be there for a couple of weeks and ended up staying 7!! It was a very homely environment and i made alot of great friends there. i would definately go back there! We love Collaroy!!!

I really appreciated the personal service I received when trying to organize transportation to and from the airport. The staff was helpful and friendly. We were delighted to have the use of bike and boogy boards too!! Thank you! Shelley
