Hotel New Azuma in Tokyo was the best hostel I've stayed in. The location was easily accessed by the Tokyo metro and I never had difficulty finding my way around. The rooms are simple. I found many of the other travelers were repeat visitors. On my next trip to Japan, I, too, will be a repeat visitor to Hotel New Azuma.

I had a cockroach in my room, but I think it came in through the window, so best way to handle this is maybe not to open windows.

Poor directions for location. No wireless as advertised & high charge for internet usage. Smoking in kitchen allowed. Kitchen facilities poor. Sleeping Mattress too thin.

Getting here is a bit of a challenge as the hotel is a bit of a walk from the JR station. Since every person has their own room, it is also rare to see others unless they are coming/going to the shower and bathrooms. The staff was helpful and very friendly and spoke pretty good English.
