Overall our stay was pleasant - the view of the sunrise over the lake was particularly beautiful. The bathrooms and kitchen (especially) could have been cleaner and better secured (there wasn't a lot of privacy in the showers and some of them were very confined in space). There was not a lot to do at this hostel - but coin operated internet was available and the drive to CBD was nice and quick. The nightwatchman was very helpful, particularly on our arrival. This place had heaps of character, oldest hotel in Rotatua (I think) and views of the lake. And only a short walk into town.

This place is much nicer inside than the outside may initially portray. The rooms and general hotel were really spotless. The only downfall is that the staff, while helpful when there, are rarely there. The hostel is very quiet, not many guests so may not feel the need to be there, but i believe should be there upon check-in. It is a good 15 min walk from bus stop at Rotorua Tourism, which is mainly uphill (not fun with heavy backpacks). Pick-ups would be great!! The actual building is ideal fo

If there are people coming to stay at ur place then be ready not they do not have to sit around and then go and find you be there otherwise it was in a great place and i really enjoyed my stay there and it sounded like ALOT of fun down stairs
