The location is great because there are always vaporetti to link Piazza San Marco and Giudecca island, even during the night.

The hostel was clean and well situated, and the lockers were very useful. The only problem was the noise, too many people in one space and the walls that divide up the dorms don't block out any of the sound. I was stuck for one night with 50+ Canadian 13 yr old girls shrieking and putting toothpaste on the faucet and shower handles......not great. But I would still recommend this place if you REALLY need a quick, cheap place to stay.

The location is very close to San Marcos but you have to take the water bus everytime you want to get anywhere except the hostel which costs a fair bit. The hostel itself is alright, a lot of people in one room, but never had to queue for the showers!

This place is fine. You have to take a water bus two stops to get to the city center, which isn't a long ride but you cannot get there without it. so if you're actually paying for the water bus, 6.50 euro per ride really adds up. student groups, really big dorm rooms, kind of boring.
