Nobody here speaks english, the taxi drivers dont even know where the place is, it is beside a sewage filled beach and the internet is only open for 5 hours per day.

this place is great! it´s right behind a giant grocery store and has a good kitchen, so you can save $ on food. it´s a block away from one of the best beaches in salvador - great sand, waves, and beachside bars. though it´s a bit out of the main city, it´s easy to reach pelourinho by bus for nightlife. if you party every night, pay more and stay in the pelo. but if you want to go out only once or twice and otherwise chill on the beach, i´d definitely recommend this hostel

La gente en Brasil es amistosa, excepto en el Hostal Praia de Piatan: el personal trata mal a los pasajeros, sin tener motivo alguno. Te hacen sentir casi como un delincuente.

Its a new hostel located only 200 meters from an accelent beach, and 100 meters from the nearest supermarked. The surroundings are peaceful, but thats partly because of the distance too Salvador, almost 45 minuts by bus costs (2 reals) and 30 by taxi (costs depending on the time of day 30-60 reals)
