The Red Palm was what made our stay in KK so wonderful and lived up to all the glowing reports Id read here before booking. Its in the right place, all you need to explore KK (and beyond) and deserves to do well. But its the staff that really sets it apart from all other hostels - we really felt like family, esp on returning to KK. It gets our highest recommendation and I've no doubt we'll be back sometime soon. Thanks again Tommy, Veronica and all the girls - great memories. x

Red Palm is an excellent place to stay in Kota Kinabalu. Most things are within walking distance. The staffs are all very friendly and helpful. The place is cleaned quite frequently. I would recommend this hostel to everyone who's planning to visit KK.
