I stayed 2 nights at the Berkenhoff Lodge and I had a great time. The staff was super nice and helpful. They helped me book day trips, taxis, and even gave me a ride to Craters of the Moon when it was super rainy outside. The hostel is a little bit far away from the city center, but it's still within walking distance. I would definitely return!

Staying for Ironman New Zealand. Staff were very helpful & friendly throughout stay. There was a problem with another group at the hostel, but this was only for a couplke of days, and I know that group will not be allowed back.
