I stayed in several hostels during my time in Moscow and St Petersburg and have to say the Comrade Hostel was by far the best. In fact, we liked it so much that we kept returning to say Hi and hang out even though we had to stay somewhere else after returning to Moscow from St Petersburg because the place was fully booked! It's cheap, clean and comfortable which are the essential components of a good hostel. On top of that, the staff are the friendliest and most helpful hostel staff I've enco

This place doesn't look like it's photo at all. In fact it's a total Photoshop job. It's small and dirty but it was fun and cheap. Great location.

We spent very few hours at the hostel but found it to be a clean place to take showers and store our things. Went to bed kinda early one evening and weren't woken up by any of the other guests... Everyone was very considerate. The young lady working there was very sweet and got us a cab for 4am, she slept with the light on by the phone for us. thank you!
