This hostel was fine. Not great, but fine. It is a dorm that they convert into a hostel during the summer. We booked a dorm room ensuite, and instead got a double room without a bathroom (I'm pretty sure the only type of rooms they had). The female showers were two floors away and there were only 2 of them for the entire hostel! Everyone there was nice, but definitely a better hostel for groups. You would be really lonely if you went by yourself. The hostel is sort of out of the way (

I found this hostel to be quite nice. there is a beautiful garden in the back and a pretty good kitchen to use. the location seems far away but it is really only a 20 min walk to the old town.

Nice hostel about 10 minutes walk from the centre of Salzburg. Part of a chain (they have other ones in Vienna, Bratislave Warsaw and a few others I think). Room was clean and had a nice view of the mountains. BBQs were organised when the weather was nice - very cheap and worth doing. Staff are helpful and we have a good stay. Would recommend.

Staff seemed inexperienced. It was like the place was just setting up and therefore very unorganized. They should start checking ID to get your room key because you could like just ask for any key you wanted. Nice rooms and games however.
