A really great place to stay as a topover. Rob was great and ran me to and from the airport and bus station. Does exactly what it needs to do. Nice garden too!

I really enjoyed staying in Shoestrings. First of all, what i was really satisfied was its very convenient location which was just three minitues away from Joburg airport. The staff were very friendly. The structure of the rooms and toilets were very good. However, while sleeping, I felt a bit cold, but it was OK! If you really stop over in Johannesburg for a moment, this backpacker would be really good for you!

This was for a 24 hour lay over. The owner picked me up, organized a ride to the Aparthied Museum, and drove me to the airport too. i highly recommed this hostel.
