The pool was great. The neighbourhood looks a little dodgy, but I think the hostel does a great job of keeping it safe. The streetcar to the centre is not that great an option (it is few and far between at night, doesn't always look that safe), so having a car is a good option, or sharing a cab to get downtown. The rooms were roomy enough, and there are many common areas to relax in.

It's not in the best neighborhood but it wasn't too far from the Quarter. We met a lot of great people and while not the cleanest, the rooms were comfortable enough - especially for the price. We saw cockroaches outside but none in the actual buildings. I'd stay again!

It wad a relatively good hostel, but in a bad part of town. I would be careful if you are traveling alone. It is also pretty buggy, but thats just the city i think?

This is definitely a party hostel. The location is decent. The house has a lot of character, a pool, nice kitchen, good sense of community and it is a lot of fun. The neighborhood is a little sketchy, so girls plan on taking a cab ride home. There is free parking in the neighborhood, which is pretty convenient. The bathrooms are a little dirty and they don't quite give you enough bedding. Internet is cheap or free wireless.
