good location, it's easy to walk around Edinburgh. understanding staff, i still got my key deposit back even though my pruse was stolen with my key in it. breakfast wasn't the greatest. it was clean, didn't smell. would recommend it.

I\'ll emphasize the fact that this hostel is awesome if you want big rooms, lots of space, rambling hallways, awesome murals, cool folks, a good (HUGE) self-catering kitchen, etc. The bathrooms are a bit weird, and there are tons and tons of stairs so be warned! Be ready to haul your shit!

pretty great place, met a lot of other cool travelers there. only complaint was that the window behind my bed opened directly to a loud main road. all in all good place though

The place was kind of dirty. The bathrooms were pretty nasty. The staff in the bar were really cool. Some of the people at reception didnt speak very good english which was annoying, but at least it was diverse. It was also a little out of the way. It wasnt to bad if your willing to walk but if you come back late after vistiting the bars you will be walking for at least 20 minutes.
