Hostel Croydon is located in the centre of Amsterdam with Dam Square on one side and the Red Light District on the other side. Royal Palace is also a few steps away. Central Station is a 5 minute walk from the hostel and all other attractions are easily accessible. Anne Frank's house, the Van Gogh museum and Rembrandt's house are all within walking distance. The area is full of coffee shops and canal tours.
There is a free walking tour available from Sandemans New Europe, leaving the check-in desk at 10.45am every day. The tour is available in English and Spanish and takes approximately 3 hours.

The hostel rooms were renovated in 2009 and all rooms are equipped with a TV and have their own bathroom.

Very very steep stairs. Cleaningness was bad!! We were in an 8 bed doorms but there was 9 of us due to overbooking. A lot of noise. A group of boys that stayed with us brought another friend to sleep in the roon although he had not payed for a bed! Realy (!!!) expensive and really not worth it. avia, from Israel ~ 2nd Nov 2011

El peor hotel al que he ido en mi vida. Su profesionalidad es nula:cuando llegamos no tenían nuestra reserva, nos mandaron a otro hotel, a una habitación con 5 camas y éramos 7 personas y para colomo no nos descontaron lo que habíamos pagado por adelantado al hacer la reserva. Una chapuza de organización. Ya sabrán que su hotel es una basura pero aún así pasárselo a ellos. Es para denunciar a estos pedazos de sinverguenzas. Cristina, from Spain ~ 23rd Oct 2011
