Hotel Verdi is a quiet family run 2 star hotel, located in a residential part of Amsterdam within the museum district, just behind Amsterdam classical concert hall. It is close to all the main tourist attractions and it is in walking distance of the Van Gogh museum and Rijksmuseum.
As its location is on a quiet side street, one is able to escape the hustle and bustle of the city.
All rooms are private and have tv, telephone, sink, shower/toilet. 2 rooms have shared shower/ toilet, 1 room has a shared toilet, shower is private.
The reception is open from 8am till 11pm.
Free coffee and tea is available during daytime.

We have a 72 hour cancellation policy. First night will be charged when the 72 hours has exceeded. In case of no show, first night will be charged.
All rooms have television, telephone, towels, soap and tea/coffee making facilities. Except for the three budget priced rooms all are equipped with private shower and toilet.

Please note that our stairways are steep that might be good for some exercise.

We have received the last room in the 3rd floor after 3 long and steep stairs which were very challenging. No lift available, and no one to help with the luggage. On the other hand the breakfast was excellent and the bathroom was very clean. The room was old, small and hot (no AC available) but beds were confortable. I believe it was fair for a 2 star hotel. The price, unfortunately, was the highest in all Europe. Maybe because Amsterdam is astronomically expensive. Prepare your pockets. sergio, from Brazil ~ 13th Aug 2011
