Lucky Lake Hostel is celebrating it's 10 year anniversary in 2013. This accommodation located by a lake is made up of caravans, cabins and dorms forming a fantastic hostel.

On every 10th of the month all rooms are 10 euro per person. Who knows, there might be more surprises.....

If you are looking for a unique hostel experience, and are tired of stuffy dorms, overcrowded communal areas and soulless, sterile accommodation, Lucky Lake Hostel maybe just the place for you.

As well as offering several wooden cabins, and three four bed dorms, the majority of our accommodation is made up of caravans, arranged to form a comfortable and cozy hostel and all within five minutes walking of an amazing lake in the beautiful countryside of Holland.

Lucky Lake hostel is a one of a kind hostel located in the heart of the Dutch countryside, less than 30 minutes from the city centre! Come and enjoy the comfiest beds, friendly and helpful staff, big communal kitchen, beautiful lake, swimming, kayaking, biking and free breakfast and WiFi!

Make use of our shuttle service(1 euro per person per ride) to travel easily to and from the metro stop, from where you can catch the metro 54 into the city, or choose to spend the day laying in the hammocks, playing ping pong, feeding the ducks, swimming in the lake or ride a bike to the nearby village Abcoude and visit the local farmers market. Combine your experience of this exciting and dynamic city with the peace and space of nature surrounding Lucky Lake Hostel.

We also offer a big communal outdoor kitchen with a BBQ, a large cozy lounge, a small supermarket with basic supplies, toasties and pizza available to purchase, bike and kayak hire as well as free WiFi, internet use and breakfast everyday (including eggs, pancakes or poffertjes!)

Lucky Lake is an unique hostel accommodation, different from the average hostels you find in the city. It is made up of cabins and caravans, 4 bed dorms and offers a great open space away from the centre of the city. The hostel is perfect for small groups as well as couples who prefer coming back to a more peaceful cabin instead of an overcrowded dorm in the city.

What makes this hostel even more unique is that it is beside Vinkeveense Plassen, which is a large man-made lake. Here you can swim, fish, enjoy water sports such as sailing, scuba dive and more. If you like walking, this is a great place to do this as there are miles of walking and cycling trails around. Take this chance to experience the countryside too and you can hire bikes from the hostel.

The hostel is located away from the city unlike other hostels. This great location also offers easy access to the city. There is a metro from Holendrecht to Amsterdam Centraal (less than 20 mins) and for 1 Euro one way, you can get the Lucky Lake shuttle bus and arrive at Holendrecht station in 7 minutes. The shuttle bus is also available from the station to the hostel. If the purpose of you trip to Amsterdam is to party and experience the nightlife, this hostel might not be the best choice because of the distance from the city centre.

In terms of food, there is a small shop in at the hostel as well as two supermarkets in nearby Abcoude. This is a small village where you will find a farmers' market on a Thursday.

The staff is very helpful at Luck Lake and are always there to help. They provide guests with tips and information for their trip, and contribute to the friendly atmosphere.

Children under the age of 17 years old are not allowed at Lucky Lake. If you do not respect our policy we are very sorry but we will not be able to accomodate you. We accept cash as well as VISA and Mastercard. Please note that we have a 2% surcharge on creditcard payments. Dogs and other animals are not allowed.
