Surrounded by fruit trees, birds and plants, you will find out its possible to find an oasis right in the city centre. We are situated one block (100 m) away from the most popular bars in microcentro - 'Britannia' and '904'. And within walking distance of all the major historical sights and hot spots.

Read a book, have a cold drink or enjoy the company of other travellers in our beautiful, spacious garden. You will find plenty of cosy spots around the premises to chill out.

Owned by a Paraguayan/Swedish couple. Together we visited all 13 countries in South America by road we assure you knowledge, not only about Asuncion and Paraguay, but on many of the places you want to see in South America.

El Jardin Hostal is the first ecological hostel in Asunción. Our hostel is built with environmentally friendly and/or recycled materials. We aim to offer an ecological service highlighted by our concern for the environmental conservation. For example all of our furniture is recycled, and the whole hostel uses low energy lamps. We offer an organic breakfast, brought to us from our partner – Escuela Agricola San Francisco, an agro ecological school in the region. This makes sure we only offer fruits and vegetables in season and collaborating to an environmental education. Our basic aim is to reduce, recycle and reuse different elements for better performance and actively promote the recycling of glass, paper, metal and plastic.
Furthermore we are preparing an organic vegetable garden and our beautiful garden is full of fruit trees to enjoy!

Situated in a historical building in downtown Asuncion we offer clean, comfortable and small dorms as well as privates. Brand new toilets and showers separated for men and women w/ 24h hot water. Common room w/ cable-TV, rustic fully equipped kitchen, free breakfast and free Internet.

Our reception is open 07.30h-22.00h with a 24h open front door. Free brekfast is served every day between 08.00h-10.00h. Everyone who respects our house rules, which basically is respecting other guests, is more than welcome to stay with us. If you arrive as a family or group we will do everything we can to help you out with suitable rooms. Please note that we have a 24 hour cancelation policy or you will be charged for the first night.
